About
Natore idol-maker Biswajit Pal carries on the reputation of his late father, Nimai Chandra Pal, for making idols. For Durga Puja 2025 he had nearly finished four idols at his home. He is known for inventive idols: the year before he drew attention with an idol made of paddy, and in 2025 he made one of jute. His wife Abha Rani Pal and his son Avijit Pal, a ninth-grader who paints the idols' eyes, help with the work.
