About
Faria Akter Ela, a woman entrepreneur in Rajapur Upazila, started with a single cow in 2022 and, with her family's help, built Fahian Agro Farm, which now has more than sixty cattle. Shahiwal, Fighter, Western Friesian and other breeds are fattened the local, natural way on straw, grass and concentrate feed and prepared for Eid-ul-Adha. Alongside cattle the farm keeps goats and pigeons and raises fish. The farm has given work to several people; her husband Md. Sumon Khan has backed her from the start. The Rajapur Upazila livestock office gives her advice and support.
