'Khalil IT' is the institute of freelancer Ibrahim Khalil, which his wife Tania Khalil (22) has worked with since 2021. It began in Matiranga; in 2023 the couple moved to Khagrachhari Sadar and restarted there, and there is now also a training centre in the Khagrachhari Gate area. Tania herself designs logos, brand identities, business cards and letterheads on Fiverr and Upwork and earns about Tk 1 lakh a month; her first income, in December 2021, was $13 for a logo. The institute has trained about 500 women so far, many of whom now earn from home. Young women learn graphic design on laptops in a room of roughly 30 ft by 15 ft on the first floor of a three-storey building. One student said she started working after four months of training and now earns Tk 20,000–30,000 a month.
