'Ma Traders' is a jute commission house (arot) in Madhabpur municipality run by arotdar Siraj Mia. Madhabpur town has six jute arots and Chhatiain bazar six more, sending truckloads of jute daily to mills in Narayanganj, Khulna and elsewhere. Siraj Mia said jute was selling at Tk 2,000 a maund in 2024; Madhabpur's 12 arots handle 70,000–80,000 maunds a year and arotdars earn Tk 10 commission per maund. Jute from neighbouring Nasirnagar in Brahmanbaria also comes to Madhabpur's arots.
