Point Three Singara is a chop and singara stall in front of the Ismail Hossain Siraji Building of the Arts Faculty at Rajshahi University. Institute of Education and Research students Al Imran and Ashikul Islam started it with Tk 40,000 of savings; friends and juniors Shafiul Islam, Riyan Ahmed, Nasib Newaz, Sajib Ahmed, Mahamudul Hasan, Shipon Islam and Sagar Chandra Das later joined. With students' budgets in mind, small singaras sell for Tk 3 and chops for Tk 5; 'point' in the name refers to the small size and 'three' to the price. They say the heat and aroma of Bombai chilli is what sets their singaras apart; monthly sales are Tk 2.5-3 lakh. They hope to add more foods with distinctive flavours.
