About
Muttakim Chowdhury owns 'Pure & Organic Dairy Farm' at Andiura in Madhabpur upazila. More than 300 animals are raised there the traditional way, and 25 workers look after them. Ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, 90 animals have been prepared for sacrifice. A bull named 'Pushpa', raised traditionally for three years and weighing about 1,100 kg, is offered at Tk 10 lakh, though he said he would sell for Tk 7.5–8 lakh. Animals not sold at the farm will be taken to the cattle market.
