About
Adnan Dairy Farm is Abdul Awal's cattle farm in Dakkhinpara, Bera municipality, Pabna. In June 2023 it had 11 cattle, five of them milking cows; each cow gave six to seven litres a day on average, sold at Tk 45-50 a litre. He said feed cost Tk 500 per cow per day then, so milk sales were not covering costs. The farm is in the Bera-Santhia area, the country's main milk-producing belt. Before Eid-ul-Azha 2026, Bera Dakkhinpara farmer Abdul Awal said cattle of the kind he sold for Tk 1.2 lakh the year before were selling for Tk 1.5-1.6 lakh.
