About
Bhoj is Nafiza Hasan Trisha's online food business. In 2020, when Covid brought a heavy loss to her husband Abdul Hannan's clothing business and he fell ill, Nafiza took a digital marketing course at AN IT Academy to support the family. In August 2020 she opened a Facebook page called 'Bhoj' and began selling food she cooks herself; she takes the food photos and videos and does the digital marketing on her own. To keep the quality up she cooks every dish herself rather than leaving it to an assistant, and a large share of her customers are regulars. The menu includes pickles, traditional items such as naru, morobba, pitha and pumpkin bori, frozen foods and a 'Bhoj Special' biryani. According to Prothom Alo (November 2023), after two years of work she earns more than Tk 1 lakh a month. Originally from Magura, Nafiza holds a master's in economics from Eden Mohila College; she now lives in Azimpur, Dhaka, with her family and hopes to grow the business.
