Coco Green delivers machine-trimmed green coconuts to customers in Dhaka who order online. Friends Md. Sujon Ahmed and Md. Roknuddoula started it in early 2022 with a Facebook advert showing trimmed coconuts; their starting stock was 100 coconuts bought for Tk 8,000 at Karwan Bazar, delivered on their own motorbikes. They later imported a coconut-cutting machine from China for about Tk 6 lakh and invested Tk 8 lakh in a coconut wholesale stall at Karwan Bazar to control quality. The office is in Kallyanpur and a small factory in Gabtoli. They now sell 24,000–25,000 coconuts a month; total investment is about Tk 10 lakh, monthly sales average Tk 25 lakh, and there are 12 staff. Besides corporate supply to clubs, gyms, hospital canteens, pharmaceutical companies and weddings, most home orders come from Gulshan, Bashundhara, Banani, Uttara and Dhanmondi. Unsold coconuts become pudding, and several coconut by-products are made; sales in Chattogram are planned.
