Abu Musa's fish arot (wholesale depot) at Lamar Bazar in Teknaf municipality, Cox's Bazar, where trawler crews bring their Bay of Bengal catch to sell. In March 2026 fishers brought here a bol fish of about five maunds and five kg (205 kg) caught at Shilerkum, south-west of St Martin's Island. The fishers first asked Tk 3 lakh, but after bidding between several traders it sold at the arot for Tk 2,55,000, about Tk 1,250 a kg. It was bought by local traders Mohammad Jafar and Saiful Islam, who cut it up the next day and sold it at Tk 2,000 a kg. The report gives no other details about the arot.
