দাউদকান্দির সিংগুলা দিঘিরপাড় গ্রামের রহমত আলী সরকার ২০০০ সালের দিকে মাছ চাষ শুরু করেন। এখন ৪০ হেক্টর জমিতে ২০টি পুকুর ও চারটি প্লাবনভূমি মৎস্য প্রকল্পে পাঙাশ, শিং, কই, বাটা, রুই, তেলাপিয়া, কাতলা, মৃগেলসহ কার্পজাতীয় মাছ চাষ হয়; বছরে চার কোটি টাকার বেশি মাছ বিক্রি হয়। ৬০ জন শ্রমিক নিয়মিত কাজ করেন। ২০২৫ সালে জাতীয় মৎস্য সপ্তাহ পুরস্কার পেয়েছেন; নতুন উদ্যোক্তারা পরামর্শ নিতে খামার পরিদর্শনে যান।
