About
Pradip Chandra Roy runs a fertiliser, seed and pesticide shop in Bhaduria Bazar, Birganj upazila, Dinajpur. He is a dealer (agri-input retailer) for the agritech company iFarmer, and it is through him that iFarmer's services have reached small farmers in the area. Using the app, he tells farmers the daily market prices of crops and other information, and farmers who want an advance crop loan or farm machinery apply to iFarmer from his shop. By his count about 120 farmers have used iFarmer's services through him in three years. Farmers from Rangaon, Mariala and other nearby villages drop in at his shop morning and evening most days.
