Faruk Weaving Factory is a sari and lungi handloom factory in Panchlia, the weaving village of Salanga thana, Sirajganj; its owner is Hafizur. Panchlia is known as a weaving hub: almost every house has 10-20 looms, and wholesale buyers come from across the country to its cloth market. Before Eid-ul-Fitr 2025, Hafizur said his workers were working day and night on colourful saris and lungis for Eid, so he had arranged an Eid bonus for them. Factory owners in the area said rising prices of dye, yarn and raw materials had pushed up sari and lungi prices.
