The duck farm of Ratish Debnath (40) in Ajmiriganj, a low-lying haor upazila of Habiganj. According to Prothom Alo, he earns Tk 10–12 lakh from the farm. The report says that since two new roads, including the Baniachong–Shibpasha–Ajmiriganj road, linked the upazila to the district town, ducks from local farms go by pickup van every day to Dhaka and elsewhere, and traders from Dhaka also come to buy; the number of duck farms in the upazila has grown to 257.
