Every winter the pitha stalls at Nimtola Mandir More in Dinajpur town come alive; pitha seller Hannan has sold pitha here for 7-8 years. In his words, his was once the only pitha stall here, and others set up after seeing him. He opens before sunset every day and sells until late at night, with daily sales of Tk 8,000-10,000. His son and 2-3 others work at the stall. He has many regular customers who place orders and take pitha in bulk. The Nimtola stalls sell bhapa pitha (made with rice flour, coconut and date-palm molasses), chitoi pitha (served with chilli and mustard paste), teler pitha and patishapta.
