About
Mohor Ali (56), a flower grower from Adhpakhiya village in Mankon union of Muktagacha, Mymensingh, has grown flowers for a long time. With support from the seed company Lal Teer Seed Limited, he planted 100 lilium bulbs brought from the Netherlands in his own polynet house, and the garden flowered in just 34 days. The upazila agriculture officer said this was the first time lilium had been grown in a polynet house in the upazila, with five to six flowers per plant. Mohor Ali says he will grow the flower on more land in future. Visitors come to his garden every day to see the lilium and take photos.
