Nahid Nusrat Tisha, from the Kalinath Roy Bazar area of ward 5, Bhola municipality, has sold online for about six years. She used to run a beauty parlour and sell boutique items online; after closing the parlour during Covid she now sells Bangla, Chinese, fast food and desserts online through two pages, 'Rosui Ghor' and 'T-Twenty Food'. A third page, 'Tiran Brand', sells women's three-pieces and saris, men's clothing, beauty products and seasonal fruit. She takes online orders and ships to districts across the country, and regularly supplies food for large social events. About 20 people work with her, and she says the business makes about Tk 1.5 lakh profit a month. She has trained with the Department of Youth Development, the Women Affairs office and BSCIC, and has won awards including a best Joyeeta award.
