About
Saha Enterprise is one of the only two jaggery depots that survive of the 34 that once operated at Torki Bandar in Gournadi. Its proprietor, Arun Kumar Saha, has been in the trade for 32 years. His gur once went as far as Chattogram and Chandpur, though demand has since shrunk. To keep the quality, he still goes himself to farmers' homes in remote villages and watches the gur being made before bringing it to the depot.
