About
Shyamal Biswas (55), a bamboo and cane craftsman at Nilfa Bazar in Tungipara Upazila, Gopalganj, used to work in the traditional way. Through upazila administration training he learned to make goods with machines and modern methods, and has applied them since getting a loan. He says he now produces more than before, and because the quality is better, demand in the market has grown.
