About
Young Khagrachhari entrepreneur Tomosa Chakma opened the 'Tomosa Closet' Facebook page in mid-2019 with Tk 5,000 of her own savings and began selling imported skincare products. She photographed products and made short videos herself, and during Covid she and her father delivered orders to customers in person. She sources Korean, Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese products from importers and sells them retail; most of her customers are from indigenous communities. In April 2024 she also opened a shop in Khagrachhari selling women's clothing alongside skincare, and total sales are Tk 7–8 lakh a month. She studies Innovation and Entrepreneurship at Daffodil International University. She plans to build her brand across Khagrachhari, Rangamati and Bandarban and open more branches.
