In 2019 Papri Rahman started a business from home with just Tk 5,000, opening a Facebook page to sell fabrics, boutique items and various designs. She later set up 'Troiyee' in the Nazir Pul area of Barishal city, which now does boutique work, runs a parlour and makes sanitary napkins; the report says she is the first to make sanitary napkins in Barishal. The business employs 40-45 women and 5 men, 260 women are in training, and it teaches parlour work, tailoring and boutique work. Setting it up has cost Tk 12-15 lakh, with help from an NGO. Farzana Binte Kabir works alongside her.
