Prescriptions still written in a dentist's name 18 months after his death: clinic sealed
A dental care in Hajiganj bazar, Chandpur, kept running in the name of its dead dentist, with his widow and college-going son seeing patients. It was sealed and fined Tk 20,000.
একটি ডেন্টাল ক্লিনিকের আসল পুঁজি হলো নিবন্ধিত দন্তচিকিৎসক। চাঁদপুর টাইমসের ২০২২ সালের এপ্রিলের প্রতিবেদনে দেখা যায়, হাজীগঞ্জ বাজারের লক্ষ্মী নারায়ন মার্কেটের ‘মর্ডাণ ডেন্টাল কেয়ার’-এর সাইনবোর্ড ও প্রেসক্রিপশনে তিনজন দন্তচিকিৎসকের নাম ছিল। তাঁদের একজন দেড় বছর আগে মারা গেছেন, কিন্তু তাঁর নামে তখনো সাইনবোর্ড, ভিজিটিং কার্ড চলছিল, প্রেসক্রিপশনও লেখা হচ্ছিল। প্রতিবেদন অনুযায়ী, রোগী দেখছিলেন মৃত চিকিৎসকের স্ত্রী এবং কলেজে পড়ুয়া ছেলে, বৈধ কোনো সনদ ছাড়াই নামের আগে ‘ডাক্তার’ লিখে। স্ত্রী হোমিও চিকিৎসার কিছু কাগজ দেখাতে পারলেও ডেন্টালের কোনো বৈধ কাগজ দেখাতে পারেননি। প্রতিবেদন প্রকাশের পর ১১ এপ্রিল উপজেলা প্রশাসন ও স্বাস্থ্য বিভাগের যৌথ অভিযানে ভ্রাম্যমাণ আদালত প্রতিষ্ঠানের মালিককে বিশ হাজার টাকা জরিমানা করেন এবং সব কাগজপত্র বৈধ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত প্রতিষ্ঠান বন্ধ রাখতে দুটি তালা ঝুলিয়ে দেন। পারিবারিক ক্লিনিকে মূল চিকিৎসক না থাকলে নতুন নিবন্ধিত চিকিৎসক না এনে ব্যবসা চালিয়ে যাওয়ার এটাই পরিণতি।
