Three years ago the day brought 300-400 taka. After a six-month course in AC and fridge servicing, he runs his own business with six workers and about a lakh a month.

Three years ago this 27-year-old in Dinajpur was taking 300-400 taka a day. He then did a six-month course in air-conditioner and refrigerator servicing under PKSF's RAISE project. He now runs his own AC and fridge repair business in Dinajpur with six workers under him. The report puts his monthly income at roughly one lakh taka. Each trained hand can take a separate job, which is why this trade grows far faster than one a person works alone.
