Three years of AdSense rejections, then 130,000 taka in a single month

He started in 2016 on a laptop bought with money from his father's broken savings scheme, and nothing worked for about three years. The break came in September 2021, and 130,000 taka arrived the next month.

This man in Jashore began building websites and trying to monetise them with Google AdSense in 2016, on a laptop bought with money his father took out of a broken DPS savings scheme. For roughly three years nothing came of it: his AdSense applications were rejected again and again even while he was teaching the subject to others, he was mocked locally, and his in-laws at first refused the marriage because he had no job. A restaurant he opened with his brothers during COVID-19 failed and left him in debt. The break came in September 2021, and the following month he received 130,000 taka. He now reports over 1 lakh taka a month and spends about 70 percent of it on a local sporting club of 70 members.

  2. 2.The side business opened while waiting did not hedge the risk: the restaurant closed and added debt instead
