With no way to take orders, around 7 to 8 lakh taka of mangoes rotted on the trees. He told the newspaper he did not know how he could recover the loss, or whether he should ever do this business again. A perishable crop and a single sales channel is what made the loss this size. His starting capital and his normal earnings in a season are not stated.
