From 16 lakh a month to 4, with the same page and the same audience

Started on an 18,500-taka phone bought by selling a cow, the page reached about 3 million followers. Platform income was 16 lakh taka in January 2025 and 4.14 lakh by March.

This young man from Nolka in Sherpur had worked as a hotel boy on 10,000 taka a month. In late 2023 he bought an 18,500-taka smartphone with the money from selling his mother's cow, opened a Facebook page and began making short rhythmic reels about cooking, his own life and the people around him. The page built up to about 3 million followers. His platform earnings were 8 lakh taka in August 2024, 15.17 lakh in December and 16 lakh in January 2025. Then, with the same page and the same audience, they fell: 14.67 lakh in February, 4.14 lakh in March and 5.29 lakh in April. He pays one collaborator 50,000 taka a month.
