Twelve days offline, five clients gone, and the whole income base with them

This freelancer's entire income came from just three regular clients, at 1,000 to 1,500 US dollars a month. During the 12 days of the July 2024 internet shutdown he lost five clients, one of them a permanent client from whom he had earned 1,600 dollars over two months of work. Three new clients approached him in the same period and went elsewhere when he could not reply. He told the newspaper it might take more than a year to find clients of that quality again. Resting a whole income on a handful of relationships was the real fragility. His district, his starting capital and what he earned after the shutdown are not stated.
