About
Aprei Marma, a farmer in the Battali area on the Chengi riverbank in Khagrachhari, grows sunflowers on about 20 decimals and has fenced the garden with bamboo. When early visitors damaged plants and picked flowers, he set an entry fee of Tk 20 per person; now people buy tickets every day from morning to evening to enter and take photos. Many also buy flowers, which he sells at Tk 150 each. He plans to grow sunflowers on one acre next year.
