Aruni Kitchen, in the Chowkidekhi area on Airport Road in Sylhet city (opposite Uttara petrol pump), is a restaurant known for its duck. The duck is cooked to the customer's choice with potato, garlic and chuijhal in mustard oil on a gas stove, and served with chapti roti, rice-flour roti, bhuna khichuri, plain rice, boiled roti, khichuri or pulao. Meat is sold by the pot, from 3 to 20 pieces; chuijhal motka duck and goose are also available. It is open seven days a week from 9:30 am to 1 am, and corporate orders get a 10 to 15 percent discount. Lakkatura and Malnichhara tea gardens and Sylhet International Cricket Stadium are close by.
