This small restaurant opened in November 2024 at House No. 4 next to the nearly century-old Aided High School in Tantipara, Sylhet city. Everything from ownership to cooking, shopping and serving is done by members of one family; there are no outside staff. Rehana Yasmin is in charge, her elder brother Khurshedul Alam supervises, and her sister Sabina Yasmin and sister-in-law Nazma Begum cook. When the people who had rented the front of the house for a restaurant pulled out, the family started the business themselves, relying on their home cooking. It now serves 35 items, among them rice and curries, mixed fish curry, bhortas, khichuri, pitha, singara, samosa and herbal Solemani tea. Some 50 to 60 people eat there daily, sometimes more than 100, and more still when the school next door holds exams. Closed on Fridays; open the other six days from 11 am to 9 pm.
