Golper Shuru is Nahid Akhtar Swati's online shop for Bangladeshi clothing and food products, started in June 2020 during the pandemic. Swati holds a master's in public administration from Chittagong University and worked for 15 years in the development sector, which is what brought her to Sylhet. She started with Tk 10,000 from her mother and now earns Tk 80,000 to Tk 1 lakh a month. The shop sells gawa ghee, mixed nuts, date-palm jhola gur and patali gur in winter, natural comb honey sourced from trusted honey hunters in the Sundarbans, and tea leaves, clone tea and green tea. It also sells Jamdani, Manipuri, block-batik and Tangail clothing and saris sourced from weavers. Sales are made through the Golper Shuru page.
