About
Roni Mishtanna Bhandar is a sweet shop in the Kejir Mor area of Enayetpur, Sirajganj, owned by Ranjit Ghosh. He once sold his family's homemade ghol (buttermilk) in front of the pantoa shops at Sthalpakrashi Bazar, and had hoped ever since to open a sweet shop. For 50 years he has made pantoa, rosogolla and rosmalai in his own shop. The sweet shops of the area buy raw milk from local milkmen each morning, boil it on wood fires, make chhana, fry the pantoa in ghee and drop it into thin syrup. The pantoa of this Jamuna-bank area is known in other parts of the country too.
