About
Sanjida's Shop is the online homemade-food business of Sanjida Khatun of the Bakchar area of Jashore town. She started in November 2022 with just Tk 2,200 borrowed from her mother; at first, to hide her identity, she sold dheki-husked atap rice flour, turmeric powder and dried chilli powder through a Facebook ID under the pen name 'Farhana Zaman' on the local Jashore online platform 'Agami Uddokta', later adding ghee and honey. With her family's backing she launched 'Sanjida's Shop' under her own name. She learned packaging and online marketing through Agami Uddokta and took an 11-day Department of Agricultural Marketing training in bookkeeping, food safety and business management. It began with five products and now offers more than 40 kinds of homemade food; the business runs on a Jashore Municipality trade licence and its average monthly sales are Tk 65,000 to 70,000. Products sell mainly through online and phone orders and are delivered to customers' homes; Sanjida makes everything herself at home.
