About
The father of Ayub Ali Khan, a veteran orchard owner in Kanchannagar, Chandanaish, Chattogram, started a guava orchard on 10 acres in 1960; the family orchard has now grown to 40 acres. Kanchannagar guava is sweet with few seeds and white, yellow or reddish flesh. The region's biggest guava market is at Roushan Hat in Chandanaish, from where guavas go to Chattogram city, Cox's Bazar, Noakhali, Cumilla and other districts, and to the Middle East.
