About
Four young men—Md. Hanif, Md. Shamsul Alam, Md. Robiul Alam and Khaledul Islam—set up Green World Nursery at Galimpur in Barura upazila, Cumilla. It raises flower, fruit, herbal and timber saplings; instead of soil it uses cocopeat (coconut coir) around the roots, and a greenhouse for rooting. Using the licence of exporter Abdul Momin of neighbouring Bijra village, 4,500 of their mango saplings went to the United Arab Emirates by sea in March 2022. The director is Khaledul Islam.
