About
Farmer Siraj of Shimultala, Baghber union, Nalitabari, Sherpur, has grown coloured cauliflower for the first time on 33 decimals. After losing money on ordinary white cauliflower he tried coloured ones — 1,200 yellow cauliflowers plus some cabbage — without any pesticide. Each head weighs 1–2 kg; he sells them wholesale at Tk 60–70 apiece and expects Tk 70,000–80,000 if all sell. Visitors come to see the field from morning to evening, and he plans to grow more next season.
