About
Hebang is a restaurant founded to bring hill food to Dhaka, owned by three sisters, one of them Bipoli Chakma. Its branches were at Kazipara, Mirpur and on Ring Road, Mohammadpur (Suchona Community Centre); the Mohammadpur branch remains, and the Kazipara branch moved to Shewrapara in November 2025. The new branch also sells hill binni rice, flour, rice powder, turmeric powder and coconut oil, plus bookmarks, clothing and fridge magnets reflecting hill heritage; hill jewellery and utensils are coming soon. Weddings, birthdays and other events can be held there. In winter it serves hill pitha, hot mundi, and chicken and fish laksu.
